얼마전에 한국에도 와서 공연을 하고 갔던
뉴저지 출신 밴드 MCR의 2집(The Black Parade)의 타이틀 곡 Welcome to the Black Parade.
처음 듣자마자 뇌에서 전구가 번쩍였던 그 느낌이 아직도 생생하다.
Punk rock에 대한 조예가 그다지 깊지는 않지만 이 자식들 1, 2집 중 한곡도 구린 곡이 없다.
특히 2집. 내 개인적으로 두고두고 들을만한 명반으로 뽑고싶을 정도
이런 앨범이 나오면 돈이 없어도 CD를 사고 싶어지고
심지어는 여러장 사서 주변 사람들에게 꼭 추천까지 해 주고 싶어진다.
브라운아이도 소울 1집 발매때 내가 그랬었듯이.
